CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy Board of Trustees will hold a regular quarterly meeting on Friday, February 22, 2012, at 8:30 a.m., in the Holmes Alumni Heritage Room, located on the lower level of the Harold Alfond Student Center on the college campus in Castine, Maine.

CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) has once again been listed in the rankings of the nation’s top regional colleges for the northern region in the 2013 edition of “Best Colleges” by U.S. News & World Report. The Academy was ranked in the top 10 in sections titled, “Best Regional College (North Region) and Best Public Regional College (North Region)”. MMA placed 8th overall in the listing of North region colleges and 3rd overall in the listing of North public region colleges. The North region encompasses the area spanning from Maine to Maryland.
CASTINE, Maine - Scheduled to open on the first day of class, Maine Maritime Academy’s new Center for Student Success will help the college usher in the fall semester. Located at 54 Pleasant Street in the recently renovated Buoy House, the new center has something for every student.
CASTINE, Maine - The Maine Technology Institute has awarded nearly $500 thousand dollars to the Maine Maritime Academy to pursue research in hydrokinetic energy. The Maine Hydrokinetic Cluster grant is the first large research grant of its kind for MMA and heralds some of the work expected by MMA’s Center for Engineering and Applied Research. The grant was awarded in partnership with and supported by a consortium of Maine's Hydrokinetic Industry leaders led by the Maine Composites Alliance.
