CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) will host its seventh annual “A Night by the Bay” fundraising event to benefit student scholarship, student services, and academic programs on Saturday, March 16, 2013. The event - an evening of dinner, live music, and live and silent auctions - will be held at the Portland Marriott at Sable Oaks in South Portland beginning at 6p.m. Guests at the event may bid on exciting items and travel excursions ranging from an overnight stay on Star Island, Isles of Shoals (N.H.) to Red Sox tickets with members-only restaurant access. Two Bass Jon will provide live dinner music and then turn it up for dancing. Dress for the event will be cocktail attire.
Castine, Maine—Captain Robert J. Peacock, II, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Maine Maritime Academy (MMA), announced today that Governor Paul LePage will address graduates at the college’s seventieth commencement, Saturday, May 4, 2013.

CASTINE, Maine – High school students from Deer Isle-Stonington, Bucksport, and the Maine Central Institute came to Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) Wednesday, February 13 to take part in the Junior Achievement of Maine’s state-wide Titan Challenge, a day-long virtual business competition. The event was hosted by the Loeb-Sullivan School of International Business and Logistics. The competition was also sponsored by Travelers Insurance.
