As a department head, reporting to the Vice President for Administration, Finance and Governmental Relations, the employee is responsible for management and direction of the Academy security force and related programs and procedures. The Director provides support and assistance to other Academy supervisors in the exercise of their responsibilities for compliance with both internal and external safety and regulatory obligations. Employee provides budget and report preparation.
1. Schedules and supervises the MMA security force for all campus facilities to ensure a safe environment for students, visitors and employees.
2. Investigates, reports and/or remediates as appropriate malfunctions and security violations.
3. Serves as the Academy first line representative with Federal and State and local law enforcement agencies.
4. Enforces parking regulations.
5. Prepares and submits required reports.
6. May prepare and coordinate safety and training programs for Academy departments, and train employees as requested.
7. The Director serves as Academy contact after normal working hours and is required to reside within a 25 mile radius of the campus.
8. Supervises regular Academy/student employees.
