STATEMENT OF THE JOB

 

Employee is responsible for the administration and operation of all financial aid programs and activities.  Responsibilities include: the preparation of Academy and federal reports relevant to financial aid, conducts needs analysis and the design of financial aid packages.  Employee provides budget and report preparation.

 

DUTIES OF THE JOB

 

1.       Develops institutional financial aid budget, including over-award parameters.

2.       Solicits, administers and files fiscal operations reports on funds from external federal, state and private sources.

3.       Develops and executes department and Academy policies and procedures for data processing of financial aid information.

4.       Coordinates the interface of financial aid information systems with registration, accounts receivable, accounting and payroll systems.

5.       Develops and executes Academy policies concerning financial aid needs analysis, student budgets and aid award packages in compliance with Academy, governmental, NCAA and athletic laws, rules and regulations.

6.       Reviews department and Academy student aid funding requirements and submits federal applications for funding of the Perkins Student Loan, College Work-Study, and Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant Program.

7.       Performs Pell Grant validations and supervises the submission of Pell payments.

8.       Provides counseling to students, parents and secondary school personnel concerning Academy Financial Aid programs.

9.       Represents the Academy at high school financial aid programs.

10.   Represents the Academy at Open House programs.

11.   Administers institutional loans and scholarships according to Academy financial aid policy and procedures.

12.   Upgrades financial aid software in accordance with DOE specifications and FA system (Power FAIDS) requirements.

13.   Uses specific software system (Power FAIDS) to generate awards, budgets, reports and any other necessary information for tracking purposes.

14.   Maintain websites for campus jobs and scholarships.
