STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Employee works with the Registrar to ensure compliance with all USCG license requirements and serves as an assistant to the Registrar and the Dean on all STCW and TWIC compliance issues.
DUTIES OF THE JOB
1) Performs various Registrar functions including but not limited to enrollment verifications, VA certification, weekly reports, SIP records and maintenance of other records.
2) Serves as the lead TWIC agent and performs all the duties required to maintain the TWIC office.
3) Reports student statistics to external agencies.
4) Assists the Dean and Registrar in maintaining USCG license records including program approvals and all communications with the Coast Guard National Maritime Center.
5) Maintains USCG License applications and records.
6) Assists the Registrar with assigned duties such as preparation of diplomas, updating catalog, and transcript requests.
7) Assists IT in developing and maintaining computerized information systems and complex records and is responsible for all STCW and USCG License data entry.
8) Coordinates with other Academy STCW coordinators and communicates to the Coast Guard National Maritime Center liaison officer on licensing issues.
9) Performs all duties of Administrative Assistant I position.
10) Performs duties of Registrar in the absence of the Registrar and Assistant Registrar.
11) Supervises student or regular Academy employees.
