STATEMENT OF THE JOB

Employee assists the Associate Director of Residential Life & Student Services in creating and implementing a positive co-curricular environment for Academy students.

DUTIES OF THE JOB

1. Assists in the planning and coordinating general campus programming for the student population.
2. Assists in the planning and coordinates co-curricular programming for targeted student populations and diversity awareness, to include, but not limited to, the Women’s Programming Board and Diversity Awareness Committee, as well as passive or active educational, social, and/or wellness topics.
3. Serve as a coordinator for New Student Programs, to include New Student Orientation and Family Weekend, under the direction of the Associate Director of Residential Life & Student Services.
4. Serves as support coordinator for targeted undergraduate populations to include, but not limited to, international and female students.
5. Provides a professional staff oversight for the Commons residential complex.
6. Assists in Commons suite inventory control and key distribution while helping to insure academy and government standards of health, safety, and cleanliness by helping to monitor Commons maintenance and custodial duties.
7. Coordinate security and emergency response needs with Safety and Security, the MCDO/Curtis MOOD watch and duty Resident Assistants as necessary.
8. Provides students with academic, personal, and vocational counseling.
9. Provides assistance/liaison as needed to other areas of student services.
10. May supervise student and/or regular Academy employees.
