JOB TITLE: Postal and Shipping Clerk DATE: August, 1991

STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Employee is responsible for all Academy, U.S. Postal and private sector receipt and distribution of mail and shipped parcels in accordance with Academy and governmental postal regulations.
1. Sorts, posts and redirects mail for internal and external deliveries.
2. Operates and maintains postage meters and scales.
3. Keeps records and files relative to postal and freight operations.
4. Distributes custodial supplies as directed by a supervisor.
5. Assists with snow removal as directed.
6. Collects money for postal and parcel packages.
7. Responsible for U.P.S., federal express and other private carrier service coordination for the Academy.
8. Provides shipping and receiving service throughout the Academy
9. May be required to operate the Academy switchboard.
