STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Employee performs skilled work in the repair and installation of locks, keys, and related activities. Performs a wide variety of maintenance tasks in and out of the student dormitory.
DUTIES OF THE JOB
1. Makes imprints of keys, services, installs and repairs springs, locks, hinges, door openers and closers.
2. Installs and removes locks and master key systems, and safes.
3. Issues keys and keeps key records.
4. Requisitions supplies and equipment.
5. Responsible for inventory control and activities related to locksmith operation.
6. Maintains coin changer machine, and is responsible for coin exchanges at bank.
7. Responsible for dormitory room damage inspections and follow-up reports to a supervisor.
8. Responsible for all dormitory maintenance both making repairs and reporting deficiencies to a supervisor.
9. Supervises trades assigned as necessary.
10.Installs and repairs telephone connections as required.
11.May supervise student and/or regular Academy employees.
