STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Employee performs routine work associated with the functions of a library. Duties are accomplished within well-defined procedures and require the application of knowledge of basic library procedures, techniques and operations.
DUTIES OF THE JOB
1. May maintain and administer Government Documents Selective Depository.
2. Under supervision of Technical Services librarian, may recommend newly received Government Documents for retention or disposal.
3. May be responsible for recruiting, trainingand supervising library student workers.
4. Under supervision of Reader Services librarian, may use integrated library system to maintain online circulation records, including sending overdue notices, billing for unreturned materials, and patron record maintenance.
5. Responsible for library's affiliation with Maine Census Data Center program.
6. May perform basic reference and other public services as needed.
7. Orders library materials and supplies, and processes invoices.
8. Uses integrated library system to maintain serials and acquisitions records.
9. Organizes and files library serials.
10. Responsible for continuations additions to the library catalog.
11. Communicates on a regular basis with faculty, staff and vendors as to status of orders.
12. May assist library director.
13. Performs other duties as required.
