Employee performs clerical, custodial and scientific duties in accordance with specific instructions from a supervisor.
1. Assists with the general set-up of the laboratory under the direction of an instructor.
2. Cleans and dismantles laboratory equipment.
3. May maintain wet lab and aquaria.
4. May assist with the collection, preservation and maintenance of marine specimens.
5. Organizes laboratory equipment and inventories under the direction of a supervisor.
6. Responsible for the routine maintenance of laboratory and field equipment.
7. Prepares purchase orders for a supervisor’s signature.
8. May supervise student to assist in the maintenance of equipment.
