STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Employee reports to the Director of Development and works closely with MMA department heads. Assumes primary responsibility for the college's program for support from individual and corporate foundations. Tasks will include research, identification of appropriate foundations, drafting of proposals, record keeping and stewardship.
DUTIES OF THE JOB
1. Operates all office equipment and electronic communications equipment.
2. Researches appropriate foundations and major gift prospects and reports findings to the Director of Development.
3. Drafts proposals for review and editing by the Director of Development.
4. In consultation with the Director of Development, meets with academic and other
departments to determine funding needs and sources.
5. Provides assistance to faculty members in their grant writing efforts.
6. Maintains all files relevant to foundation requests including reporting obligations.
7. Assists in organization of cultivation and stewardship events.
8. Assists the annual fund coordinator in assigned aspects of the annual fund
campaign.
9. Researches and identifies major gift prospects.
10. May supervise students and/or regular academy employees.
