STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Employee performs bookkeeping, cashier and clerical duties involving the creation and maintenance of Academy records. Employee files, types, distributes inter-departmental mail, and operates a computer in the daily operation of the disposition of accounts. The employee is responsible for the accurate completion of tasks by exercising judgment and initiative. Employee must possess the ability to work independently.
DUTIES OF THE JOB
1. Credits, bills, and pays external accounts using appropriate general ledger and account procedures.
2. Reviews, prioritizes, stamps, and enters invoices and credit memos.
3. Reconciles all receivables and payables on a regular basis, including vendor statements.
4. Reconciles and makes bank deposits and prepares monthly statements for supervisor review.
5. Disburses checks and cash, after reviewing purchase orders, corresponding invoices received, general ledger numbers, and travel authorizations and vouchers.
6. Posts cash receipts and journal entries to general ledger.
7. Prepares reports and answers inquiries for external and internal organizations/departments. Makes inquiries as necessary.
8. Prepares, processes, monitors, posts incoming loan records.
9. Adjusts student accounts as directed; may have contact with students and parents regarding those accounts.
10. May supervise student and or regular Academy employees.
