STATEMENT OF THE JOB

Employee performs and is often responsible for difficult and complex computer functions that include: Windows; MSWord; Power Faids (Financial Aid Package); Networking; Department of Education Software & Electronic Communications; Loan Application software. Judgment and initiative are constantly exercised. Tasks are normally accomplished within well-defined procedures with frequent program monitoring required. Verbal and written communication skills are vital.

DUTIES OF THE JOB

1.      Assists in determination of financial aid eligibility according to federal, state and college guidelines.

2.      Maintains filing systems and detailed records.

3.      Processes confidential information.

4.      Screens calls, visitors, and mail.

5.      Responds to telephone inquiries for both admissions and financial aid.

6.      Word Processing - letters, reports, etc.

7.      Greets visitors for both admissions and financial aid.

8.      Certifies and tracks student and parent loan applications; acts as liaison with lenders and loan processors.

9.      Responsible for document collection of all financial aid applications materials, verifying accuracy of information and computer recalculation of needs analysis.

10.  Assists in reconciling monthly and annual financial aid statements and reports.

11.  Manages Pell Grant Reporting and Drawdown information.
