STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Employee performs difficult and complex secretarial and bookkeeping work involving some administrative and confidential responsibility. Judgment and initiative are frequently exercised. Tasks are accomplished within well defined procedures with frequent non-routine administrative work or program monitoring required. Frequent verbal and written communication is required internally and externally.
DUTIES OF THE JOB
1. Operates all office equipment.
2. Types and transcribes letters and reports.
3. Maintains and organizes official office files.
4. Prepares purchase order requests and controls supplies and equipment.
5. Maintains and processes confidential institutional, student, and faculty records.
6. Screens calls,visitors and mail.
7. Supervises student and/or regular Academy employees.
8. Composes and signs correspondences as designated by a supervisor.
9. May reconcile budget and expense statements with department account.
10. May prepare payroll time sheets for department.
11. May act as intermediary for supervisor maintaining contacts with others.
12. Authors, edits, proofs, and compiles various publications and announcements.
13. Schedules meetings, conferences, and travel for department.
14. May perform duties of Administrative Assistant I.
