STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Employee performs administrative, supervisory, and complex clerical work. Work involves considerable internal and external contacts representing the Academy or a specific department. Difficult non-routine tasks, access to confidential information and the administration of Academy policies and procedures are involved in the position. Judgment and initiative are exercised. Provides input for budget and report preparation.
DUTIES OF THE JOB
1. Maintains confidential and routine Academy records, files and financial reports.
2. Provides official information to other Academy departments and external contacts.
3. Drafts correspondence to students, alumni, businesses, parents, governments, and other Academy departments concerning the annual appeal, Academy policies, major gifts and other areas.
4. May supervise student and/or regular Academy employees.
5. Has fiscal responsibility for the collection, administration, and distribution of Academy or departmental funds.
6. Responsibility for special programs as assigned.
7. Represents the department in the absence of the Chief Advancement Officer as directed.
8. May perform duties of Administrative Assistant.
9. Researches potential funding sources.
10. Provides on-going support for projects of the Chief Advancement Officer.
