STATEMENT OF THE JOB

Employee reports to the Director of Public Works, and supervises and coordinates full time and part time custodians. Employee liaisons with conference director to provide maid service and special cleaning requirements as required by conferences.

DUTIES OF THE JOB

 

1.      Supervises custodians including scheduling, organizing and directing work. May work as a custodian if needed to maintain standards.

 

2.      Assists Director of Public Works with safety compliance, provides training in the use of individual chemicals, and ensures that new employees are provided with institutional safety programs on initial employment.

 

3.      Inspects building on regular basis to ensure cleaning standards are maintained and reports other items to the public works office.

 

4.      Reviews use of chemical supplies, ensures that MSDS sheets are available at each work place and recommends purchases of supplies and equipment to supervisor.

 

5.      May supervise student and/or regular Academy employees.
