JOB TITLE: Coordinator of Continuing Education              DATE: October, 2001

STATEMENT OF THE JOB

Employee has major administrative role in the planning and operations of Ocean Institute programs. Judgment and initiative are frequently exercised. Tasks require the development of administrative procedures and carrying out frequent non-routine administrative work. Communications are required with a variety of internal and external audiences.

DUTIES OF THE JOB

1.      Develops and coordinates detailed administrative plans for various on-campus and off

      campus programs.

 

2.      Generates and sign correspondence.

3.      Reconciles budget and expense statements with department accounts.

4.      Participates in budget development.

5.      Prepares payroll time sheets for department.

6.      Develops recruiting literature.

7.      Maintains filing system including professional test results and certifications.

8.      Communicates with Federal and International agencies and companies.

9.      Markets programs.

10.  Computer knowledge including graphics and brochure applications.

11.  Operates all office equipment.

12.  Supervises student and/or regular Academy employees.
