STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Employee assists the Librarian with cataloging/technical services duties within the Academy library. Position requires a Master's degree in Library Science preferably from an ALA-accredited institution.
DUTIES OF THE JOB
1. Primarily responsible for technical services area within the Academy library; reports budget needs for technical services area to Librarian.
2. May supervise student and/or regular Academy employees.
3. Performs original and copy cataloging using OCLC; assists in operation and maintenance of online catalog.
4. May perform reference services as needed.
5. Maintains and organizes Academy archives.
6. May assist Librarian with evaluation and selection of library collections.
7. Performs in-house book repairs/conservation and arranges for commercial binding as required.
8. Performs other duties as required.
