STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Employee is responsible for all aspects of information application systems and integration, including project definition, system design, specifications, hardware and software requirements, system documentation, integration opportunities and implementation strategies. Employee recommends third party solutions and services as part of the total solution and ensures third party components comply with established architecture. Employee is responsible for application support including patches, upgrades and troubleshooting. Employee consults with and trains faculty, students and staff in the use of application systems.
DUTIES OF THE JOB
1. Responsible for design of programs that enable special reporting, data transfer, import and/or export of data from and to new and existing application systems.
2. Responsible for application maintenance and problem solving.
3. Plans, tests and implements all phases of application conversions.
4. Responsible for analysis and implementation of new and enhanced application systems.
5. Assists with various integration and analysis projects involving application systems.
6. Coordinates, directs and works with other Academy employees as well as outside contractors engaged in application support and/or development.
7. Responsible for the reliability and functionality of Academy application systems, including testing and implementation of patches and upgrades.
8. Responsible for application support contract maintenance analysis; recommends strategy regarding best use of resources to support application systems.
9. Works with departmental liaisons to identify potential integration opportunities that will streamline existing processes and systems.
10. Responsible for direction and supervision of regular Academy and student employees.
