Employee performs difficult and complex secretarial and bookkeeping work involving some administrative responsibility. Judgement and initiative are frequently exercised. Tasks are normally accomplished within well defined procedures with frequent non-routine administrative work or program monitoring required. Frequent verbal and written communication is required internally and externally.
1. Operates all office equipment.
2. Types and transcribes letters and reports.
3. Maintains filing system and detailed records.
4. Prepares purchase order requests and controls supplies and equipment.
5. Processes confidential information.
6. Screens calls, visitors and mail.
7. May supervise student and/or regular Academy employees.
8. Composes and may sign correspondence as designated by a supervisor.
9. Reconciles budget and expense statements with department account.
10. May prepare payroll time sheets for department.
11. May act as intermediary for supervisor maintaining contacts with others.
12. Edits, proofs and compiles manuscripts and composes announcements.
13. Schedules meetings, conferences and travel for department.
