CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy is proud to announce this year’s Wall of Honor inductees, Henry A. Scheel and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) scholars, and Excellence in Teaching awardee will be honored at this year’s Celebration of Achievement event Thursday, November 8th.
CASTINE, Maine - Maine Maritime Academy mourns the recent passing of Marguerite Veronica (Romero) Rodgers, wife of past MMA Superintendant, Rear Admiral Ted Rogers. “It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Margeurite Rodgers,” said President Bill Brennan. “She was a great inspiration to those who knew her. The thoughts and prayers of the entire MMA community, past and present, are with RADM Rodgers and family in this time of loss.”
CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy Board of Trustees will hold a regular quarterly meeting on Friday, November 9, 2012, at 8:30 a.m., in the Holmes Alumni Heritage Room, located on the lower level of the Harold Alfond Student Center on the college campus in Castine, Maine.
CASTINE, Maine - Maine Maritime Academy, Maine’s coastal college, will host an open house for prospective students and their parents on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Registration will take place in the Harold Alfond Student Center from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. A continental breakfast and lunch are free to all participants.

CASTINE, Maine - Severe winds last night took out power in many areas. Power has been restored to campus. The Campus Operating Code is GREEN. Maine Maritime Academy is operating on a normal schedule today. Commuters should allow extra time for travel as water has pooled in many areas of the road and debris has been blown across the road. CASTINE, Maine - Maine Maritime Academy and Mariner Athletics are proud to announce the selection of Steve Tardif (Class of 2000) and women’s basketball teammates Alyssa Burns (Class of 2007), Michelle “Shelley” Gott (Class of 2007), and Julia Knights (Class of 2007) for 2012 induction into the William J. Mottola Mariner Athletics Hall of Fame.
CASTINE, Maine - Maine’s official state vessel, the schooner Bowdoin, will be participating in numerous events throughout the fall to support local and regional communities. Owned by Maine Maritime Academy and homeported in Castine, Maine, the Bowdoin’s mission is to provide sail training for students and the public, as well as to support recruiting and community relations.
