Information for companies and businesses interested in recruiting Maine Maritime Academy students.
Welcome to Maine Maritime Academy, we hope your trip to our campus was safe and enjoyable.
We encourage you to link into our College’s external web site to get to know our student training facilities and the majors we have to offer your organization.
Our students upon graduation hit the ground running because they have had the opportunity to work in the real world while attending Maine Maritime Academy.
Their hard work ethic, combined with an excellent academic foundation and co-op work experiences, make our graduates in high demand.
Our recruiting year generally starts in October and runs through mid April. The traditional recruiting strategy goes something like this:

Additional Career Center Information
As a career-oriented college, Maine Maritime Academy enjoys a long-standing tradition of providing graduates to industry who are competent and ready to work. The Office of Career Services contributes to this tradition by providing opportunities for undergraduates to apply their skills in workplace settings and to learn alongside professionals in their fields. We work directly with faculty and students to coordinate cadet shipping billets and summer co-op experiences that support the undergraduate curriculum, contribute to personal growth and professional competency, and serve our partners in industry.
In anticipation of graduation, we are pleased to assist students by offering important resources and information throughout the employment search process. We provide career counseling and job vacancy leads, while coordinating opportunities for employers and students to meet. We continue to offer employment search information and support to alumni throughout their careers.
We encourage all students to begin career planning and pre-employment exploration soon after matriculation, and to continue refining the process throughout their time at Maine Maritime Academy. We extend an open invitation to all students and alumni to visit our offices in Captain Quick Hall.

There are thousands of search engines on the internet, and it can be hard to know where to start.
